Singapore Airlines 747-412 seat map
Singapore Airlines Boeing 747-412 seat map.
Singapore Airlines took 93 Boeing 747s, the third-largest total of any airline after Japan Airlines and British Airways.
The map covers a 747-412 — the customer code 12 identifies Singapore Airlines, in the same way 436 identifies British Airways and 430 Lufthansa. Boeing assigned each customer a two-character code that formed part of the model number of every aircraft it bought, so a “747-412” is a 747-400 built for Singapore.
Those codes outlive the airlines that earned them: an aircraft sold on keeps the designation of its original customer for life.
Singapore retired its passenger 747s in 2012, replacing them with 777s and A380s.
