How to reach Boeing-747.com with corrections, additions and photo submissions.
Corrections and additions are genuinely welcome. This site covers 54 years of one aircraft type across nearly 200 pages, and there is certainly still something on it that is wrong.
Especially useful
Corrections. If a date, a production number or an aircraft identification is wrong, please say so — ideally with a source. Several long-standing errors inherited from the original site have already been fixed this way, including a claim that the US Air Force bought seven Airborne Laser aircraft when only one was ever built.
Identifications. A number of photographs in the album are described only in general terms because the airline, registration or variant could not be confirmed. If you can identify one, that is a real improvement.
Photographs. Particularly of variants that are thin on images here — the 747-100F, 747-100SR, 747-300M and the Yellowstone proposals have no photograph at all. Please only send images you own or that are clearly licensed for reuse, and say which.
Broken links or missing pages. Every URL from the original site should still work. If one does not, that is a bug worth reporting.
Before writing
A few things that come up often are already answered:
- Which airlines still fly the 747, and when each one retired it
- How much a 747 cost — and why Boeing stopped publishing list prices
- Why the 747-400 has winglets, and why the 747-400D does not
- Whether the 747 is still in production — it is not; the last was delivered in January 2023
- Every page on the site, or browse by topic
