Lufthansa 747-8 seat maps

Lufthansa 747-8 upper and lower deck seat maps.

Lufthansa launched the 747-8 Intercontinental on 6 December 2006 and was for a long time its only airline customer — Boeing publicly reassessed the whole programme in early 2009 because of it.

It went on to take 19 aircraft, by far the largest fleet, and is still flying them.

Both decks

The maps here cover the upper and main decks. The upper deck is a business cabin; the main deck carries first, business, premium economy and economy.

At 467 seats in three classes, the 747-8I holds 51 more than a 747-400 — the gain from an 18 ft 3 in fuselage stretch and from moving the crew rest area upstairs.

Still flying

Lufthansa is one of only four airlines still operating scheduled passenger 747 services, alongside Air China, Korean Air and Rossiya. These maps therefore describe an aircraft you can still book.
