British Airways operated 94 Boeing 747s, the second-largest fleet ever after Japan Airlines, and was the largest operator of the 747-400 in the world.

The Club World upper deck
BA’s upper deck was configured as Club World, and it developed a following out of proportion to its size — a cabin of around 20 seats with its own galley, its own crew and a stair separating it from everything else.
The end
BA retired the type in July 2020, bringing forward a retirement planned for 2024. The final two Heathrow aircraft left on 8 October 2020 — G-CIVB in the retro Negus livery and G-CIVY in standard colours. A synchronised departure from parallel runways was planned and rained off.
