The USAF Airborne Laser testbed built on a 747-400F.
The USAF Airborne Laser — a 747-400 Freighter carrying a megawatt-class chemical laser, the turret for which forms the bulbous nose.
It destroyed two boosting ballistic missiles in tests in February 2010. More on the YAL-1.
